In our school we could not do without one of the most important Hispanic cultural aspects: flamenco. We need to keep in mind that Vejer is within the geographic location in wich this hundred year old art form was born.

It is for this reason that La Janda offers a unique program in wich the participants combine a Spanish course with practical dance classes or Spanish guitar. To complete this offer, we also organise weekly lessons of rhythmic clapping (palmas) and flamenco percussion.

Students can also participants in the school's daily cultural programme (talks, excursions, fiestas or walks) as well as the many activities that Vejer offers during the summer.

We especially recommend the singing competition organised by the Flamenco Club, or the Flamenco Festival held in August, wich brings forth well-known song artists, guitar and dance. The festival is celebrated in the Murallas de la Segur, in the heart of the historic quarter.

Course structure: 40 classes of Spanish, 10 classes of dance or guitar, 2 classes of palmas and percurssion. Duration: 2 weeks. Dates: every monday from July to August. Groups: minimum 3, maximum 8. Should there be only one or two students, class hours will be reduced.
