There are no translations available. Learning a language involves a degree of communicative competence, which means interpret properly context-dependent linguistic and cultural codes. A central part of Spanish daily life revolves around food, many expressions and rituals are linked to that gastronomic culture and habits. Knowing What to eat, Where, How, When and with Whom, discuss the goodness of food, try new recipes, remember and compare, assess and exchange views...these are popular everyday exercises here. During this course we will deepen our knowledge of sociocultural and linguistic aspects of the Spanish culinary world. The course consists of observations and field studies in the food markets, bars, orchards, at home and in the streets, seasoned with lectures and practical lessons in the kitchen. |
