Francisco Herrera is Head of School at La Janda International House Vejer. He was born in Motril, a small coastal town in the province of Granada, but he has lived in Vejer since 1993 and he now considers himself to be a true Vejeriego. He has a doctorate in Spanish Philology from the University of Granada and more than eighteen years of experience in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
He has given courses in teacher training, many of them related to the use of new technology in the classroom, at universities and for the Cervantes Institute, both in Spain and abroad.
What he most likes to do in his spare time is to read novels, listen to music and work with his Mac. He is married and has two children and a labrador and he thinks that Vejer is the ideal place to combine the directing of a language school with being with his family and friends.
His favourite aspect of teaching is the way in which it is possible to create a close and family-like atmosphere with his students and the continual exchange of knowledge and experience between people from all over the world.
