Bus connection:
A taxi from the airport to the bus station of
El Prado de San Sebastián in Sevilla takes about
30 minutes. It costs approximately 15 - 20 euros. You
can also take a bus, which costs 3 euros.

Málaga

Nearly all the big companies have direct flights to Málaga.
Bus connection:
A taxi from the airport to the bus station in
Málaga takes about 20 minutes. It costs approximately
10 - 15 euros. (Time and price both depend on the
traffic.) You can also take a bus, which costs 1.10
euros.

BY BUS:
Arrival in Vejer: Remember that in Vejer we have two bus stops. La Barca de Vejer is a kilometre and a half from Vejer on the N-340 from Málaga to Cádiz. To reach Vejer town you can take a taxi which costs about 6 euros. The other bus stop is in town, next to the park in Los Remedios. Always check which bus-stop your bus is going to.



From Málaga There are three direct buses to La Barca de Vejer (07.30, 11.30 and 15.30). At La Barca you will need
to take a taxi to the town. Another possibility is to take two buses:
Málaga-Algeciras-Vejer. There are buses every hour or so from
Málaga to Algeciras and from Algeciras to La Barca de Vejer at
07.00, 10.30, 11.30, 13.30, 18.30 and 20.30. There are two bus
companies on the Málaga - Algeciras route: Comes and Portillo.
If you take a Comes bus from Málaga, you can take another
Comes bus from the same bus-station in Algeciras to La Barca.
If you take a Portillo bus from Málaga you will have to change
bus-stations in Algeciras and take a Comes bus to La Barca.
The direct bus from Málaga to La Barca takes about four hours
(depending on the traffic.)
From Sevilla Buses from Sevilla to Vejer leave from the bus-station
of el Prado de San Sebastián and go to La Barca de Vejer.
Buses leave at 09.00, 15.00, 17.00 and 20.30. The journey takes
about two and a half hours and costs approximately 11 euros.
From Jerez Buses for Vejer leave from the central bus-station
in Jerez. From Monday to Friday there is a bus at 18.45 which
goes to the bus-stop in Los Remedios. There are three buses
everyday to La Barca de Vejer leaving at 08.30, 16.30 and 21.15.
Another possibility is to travel via Cádiz. There are buses from
Jerez to Cádiz approximately every hour. The direct journey from
Vejer to La Barca takes a little more than an hour and costs 5 euros.
From Cádiz There are buses from Cádiz to Vejer almost every
two hours between seven in the morning and seven at night. They
leave from the Comes bus-station in Cádiz and arrive at the
bus-stop in Los Remedios. The journey takes about an hour
(depending on the route) and costs approximately 5 euros.
From Algeciras There are buses from the Comes bus-station
in Algeciras to La Barca de Vejer at 07.00, 10.30, 11.30, 13.30,
18.30 and 20.30. The journey lasts about an hour and a quarter
and costs about 6 euros.
From Madrid Buses for Cádiz leave from the Estación del Sur
bus-station in Madrid. (Compañía Secorbus). Tickets cost about
20 euros. Once you reach Cádiz, you need to go to the central bus
station to catch a bus to Vejer. The journey from Madrid to Cádiz
takes about eight hours. There are four buses a day.

BY TRAIN:
The nearest train stations are at San Fernando (45 kms) and Cádiz (50 kms). Both stations are connected to the international rail network via Madrid.

BY CAR:
If you come by the central route (via Madrid) you should take the N-IV to Sevilla and then the motorway (A-4) to Cádiz. Just after Jerez de la Frontera turn off towards the N-340 and Algeciras. Vejer is just off the N-340, almost equidistant between Cádiz and Algeciras..

If you come along the Mediterranean coastal route (via Barcelona and Valencia and Málaga), follow the N-340 (the Autopista del Mediterráneo) until you reach Vejer.

Rent-a-car from the airport:
Another possibility for arriving in Vejer is to rent a car at the airport
for use during your stay. If you need more information, please ask
for a quote for picking up and leaving a car at the airports of Jerez,
Sevilla or Málaga. There are special offers for periods of a week or
more.
